What do we do?
We research, discuss, propose and enforce actions and policies to reduce our environmental footprint in the lab, and to make our research more sustainable, such as:
Reduce
- Gloves
- Single-use plasticware
Reuse
- Tubes (for culturing Drosophila, bacteria etc.)
- Staining solutions and buffers
Recycle
- Waste separation improvement (recycling bins available in each room)
- Pipette tip boxes
Raise awareness
- Green fact of the month - check out our information campaign
- Stickers as reminders, for example to switch off devices
