Charlotte Blessing receives doctoral award

Dr. Charlotte Blessing, former PhD student in the group of Prof. Andreas Ladurner, has been awarded the Dr. Hildegard and Heinrich Fuchs Prize for her dissertation.
The Dr. Hildegard and Heinrich Fuchs Foundation promotes science and research in the field of human medicine. The winners of the doctoral award are selected from among the best "summa cum laude" dissertations by the doctoral committee of the Medical Faculty of LMU Munich. The prize is endowed with 5,000 euros. This year, one of the awards went to Dr. Charlotte Blessing for her dissertation entitled "The role of chromatin dynamics in the DNA damage response." The work was done in the laboratory of Prof. Andreas Ladurner. The award ceremony took place during the annual reception of the Medical Faculty on July 22.
