BMC donates to the KlinikClowns
Each year, the BMC workers support a charitable organization with the proceeds of the Christmas Market. In 2019, proceeds of 1,200€ were generated by selling waffles, mulled wine, sausages, sweets and many more holiday goodies. They were donated to the “KlinikClowns Bayern e.V.”.
The Klinikclowns regularly visit childrens' hospitals in Bavaria. With impromptu antics, music, song and dance they bring joy and laughter to the hospital rooms und smiles to the faces of the young patients. KlinikClowns strengthen the patients' emotional constitution, raising spirits and activating positive inner resources that support the recovery process.
Further destinations for KlinikClown visits are elderly homes and institutions for disabled people, care units for adults with severe diseases as well as palliative care units and hospices. The KlinikClowns bring lively spirits, but also time to sit and listen, contributing to the patients’ quality of life and sense of well-being.
The donation was presented on March 3 at the BMC. A big thank-you to all employees who contributed to the Christmas Market and made it a success!
