  • From north: Coming from the highway Nürnberg (A9) take the exit "Mittlerer Ring West" (A99) and stay on the A99 towards "Lindau/Garmisch". Once the A99 intersects with the highway Lindau (A96) follow the A96 towards "München Zentrum/Garmisch". Take the exit 36b and follow it towards "Gräfelfing". In Gräfelfing turn left on to "Würmtalstraße" (towards "Großhadern"), turn right after approx. 1.5 km and follow the signs to the LMU-Biocenter.
  • From west: Coming from the highway Stuttgart (A8) exit the A8 and follow the A99 towards "Lindau/Garmisch". Once the A99 intersects with the highway Lindau (A96) follow the  A96 towards "München Zentrum". Take the exit 36b and follow it towards "Gräfelfing". In Gräfelfing turn left onto "Würmtalstraße" (towards "Großhadern"); turn right after approx. 1.5 km and follow the signs to the LMU-Biocenter.
  • From south: Coming from the highway Salzburg (A8) or from the highway Garmisch (A95) take the exit "München-Fürstenried" and turn right towards Neuried. Then turn left after 500 m on to "Neurieder Straße" and after approx. 1 km take the "Graubündener Straße" on the right. After an other 3 km turn left on to "Würmtalstraße" (towards "Großhadern"). Then turn left after approx. 1 km and follow the signs to the LMU-Biocenter.
(Please approach the Biomedical Center from the street 'Am Klopferspitz'. That is where you also find the visitors' parking lot.)

By public transport

  • If you arrive by train at Munich "Hauptbahnhof" (central station), take the subway line U1 or U2 to "Sendlinger Tor"; change to the subway line U6 (direction "Klinikum Großhadern") and get off at "Klinikum Großhadern". Change to the Bus 266 towards "Planegg" and exit it at "LMU Martinsried". 
  • If you approach Munich from Stuttgart, Ulm or Augsburg it might be beneficial to already exit the train at "München-Pasing". Take the Bus 56 towards "Fürstenried-West". Get off at "Klinikum Großhadern Ost", cross the street and change to the Bus 266 towards “Planegg”. Exit at "LMU-Martinsried". Alternatively, take the Bus 259 towards "Martinsried" from Pasing and get off at "Martinsried". It's just a short walk east to reach the  BMC.

  • From Munich airport (MUC): Take the "S-Bahn" S8 and get off at "Pasing". Take the Bus 56 towards "Fürstenried-West". Get off at "Klinikum Großhadern Ost", cross the street and change to the Bus 266 towards “Planegg”. Exit at "LMU-Martinsried". Alternatively, take the Bus 259 towards "Martinsried" from Pasing and get off at "Martinsried". It's just a short walk east to reach the BMC.

  • From Munich airport (MUC): Take the "S-Bahn" S8 and get off at "Marienplatz". Take the subway line U6 (towards "Klinikum Großhadern") and get off at "Klinikum Großhadern". Change to the Bus 266 towards "Planegg" and exit at "LMU Martinsried".
