Spletter Lab - RNA-dependent regulation during development processes
Physiological Chemistry
Research Topics
- Muscle development
- RNA regulation
- Alternative splicing
- Drosophila melanogaster
We study RNA regulation and muscle development in Drosophila melanogaster. We are interested in identifying and characterizing new regulators of alternative splicing as well as investigating the function of individual splice isoforms. To do this we employ genetics, transcriptomics, proteomics, molecular biology and biochemical techniques. In particular we specialize in mRNA-Seq, live imaging, RNAi and classical genetic analysis.
