We seek to understand the molecular mechanisms that control the spatiotemporal regulation of heterochromatin. As model system we use fission yeast (Schizosaccharomyces pombe), which shares many of the conserved hallmarks of metazoan heterochromatin. Besides genetics, biochemistry and live-cell imaging we apply genome-wide epistasis interaction maps (based on SGA technology) to identify novel pathways and networks. Read more...
