Summer BBQ 2019
At the BMC Summer BBQ 2019, the BMC scientists, students and employees got together for a picnic – a great opportunity to network and meet people from all departments and core units. The sunny afternoon was perfect for a potluck picnic, and everyone enjoyed the international buffet with homemade salads, snacks, sweets and, of course, grilled specialties.
Planegg's voluntary fire department made a guest appearance with a fully equipped fire engine. The children were thrilled to get an firefighter's perspective from the driver's seat of a bonafide fire engine. A number of BMC employees explored the impressive technology (from respiratory protection devices to the hose reel) in the vehicle and learned many interesting details about the diverse tasks of a firefighter.
