BMC cyclists win team challenge

Following the motto "Cycling for a better climate", many municipalities in Germany again joined efforts for the Aktion Stadtradeln this year. During the three-week challenge, the participating teams collect cycling kilometers and contribute to climate protection by saving CO2. Due to the pandemia, the city Planegg started the challenge later in the year than usual, from 27th of September to 17th of October. 37 BMC cyclists, led by team captain Rico Schieweck, were undeterred by the autumnal weather and reached a total of 7,537 km – which equals 1,108 kg saved CO2. Thanks to this remarkable team effort, the BMC team defended its first place in the team challenge of the city Planegg and set an example for climate protection.
