Martin Kerschensteiner elected to the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina

Martin Kerschensteiner, director of the Institute of Clinical Neuroimmunology, has been elected as a member of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina. Becoming member of the academy is regarded as one of the highest accolades for scientists in the German-speaking world.

The Leopoldina originated in 1652 and now has 1,600 members from almost all branches of science. The mission of the Leopoldina is to represent the German scientific community internationally and provide policy makers and the public with science-based advice.

Martin Kerschensteiner will join the "Sektion" Neurosciences.
