Who is afraid of reviewer 3?

For Halloween this year, the BMC called a Jack-o’-lantern contest. At a get-together with apple punch and grilled marshmallows, the ten participating teams presented their lanterns on October, 27. A three-person jury with proven international Halloween expertise selected the three most original, winning lanterns.

Besides the creepy factor, the jurors Sabine Thomas, Maren Heimhalt and Yves Carpentier Solorio placed particular emphasis on creativity and craftsmanship.

Third place went to the Imhof Lab, which gave a face to the dreaded reviewer 3. Immunology took second place with a jack-o'-lantern wit motifs right out of the lab life. First place went to the team from facility management - true carving champions!

The winning trophies were little works of art themselves, made by the BMC workshop using 3D printing, laser cutters and soldering irons.
