DAAD Award for Daniil Pokrovsky
PhD Student Daniil Pokrovsky has received this year's DAAD Award. This Prize, which is funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is endowed with 1000 Euros and goes to international students with excellent grades and outstanding commitment in intercultural or social work. Daniil is an active CRC/IRTG 1064 member and PhD student in the Molecular Biology Unit (Rupp group) at the BMC. He is interested in the role of epigenetic modifications in the early embryonal development of clawed frogs (Xenopus laevis). Moreover, he is involved in organising student exchange programs and interdisciplinary conferences. At the BMC, he started a football team.
