End of year message in twinkle lights

“Our light shines to the world” – was the message of the BMC Advent calendar 2020. It shone from 24 illuminated windows into the courtyard, each letter as colorful and diverse as the BMC crowd. And behind each letter there was a creative, individual idea. In addition to Christmas motifs, there was an S-shaped trypanosome slithering up a window, DNA-damage experiments were modelled in a light installation, budding yeast cells decorated a Christmas tree composed of a nucleosomal array profile and Müller cells released Christmas-light vesicles. And who can be sure whether some decorations were Christmas baubles or perhaps nucleosomes? What were the factors in the famous formula for energy? And was it intentional that the N was mirror-inverted?

In case you missed the Advent calendar, here is a photo montage of the window decorations.
