ABCAM Meeting: Programming and Reprogramming of the brain
On April 3 and 4, 2017 the Biomedical Center hosted a two day meeting on „Programming and Reprogramming the Brain“. This conference welcomed 130 participants, was chaired by Paola Arlotta (Harvard University, US) and Benedikt Berninger (Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz) and organized by Abcam and Marisa Karow (who runs her lab at the institute for Physiological Genomics at the BMC). High-profile speakers from around Europe and the USA attended the meeting, including a strong subgroup from the Munich area, who reported on new insights into current brain development research. Particular highlight, not only from a BMC perspective, was a talk by Marisa Karow and the keynote lecture by Magdalena Götz.
